Chimi House is a second floor,waterfront 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom suite.

Incredible waterfront vistas of all the watersports action and sunsets year-round!

Chimi House features teak floors, tile bathrooms, carpeted bedrooms and a full modern award-winning kitchen with an s-bend granite drink bar. The living room features waterfront vistas, leather furnishings, a flat screen TV, cable and Apple TV. Space to entertain includes a dining room table with seating for 6 and bar seating for 4. The waterfront primary bedroom has a private full bathroom, walk-in tile shower and walk-in closet. The second bedroom features a king bed while the third has a queen bed. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV with cable. The shared full bath has a bathtub shower combo. The living area and primary bedroom provide access to the west facing deck with waterfront vistas. The bedrooms provide access to a water view balcony.

Guests of Watermen’s Retreat get kite launching and landing access at REAL Watersports and 10% off at the REAL Watersports Rental Shop.
Additional amenities include Wi-Fi internet access, an in-suite washer and dryer, base level secure gear storage, covered parking, an elevator and fast access to REAL Watersports and Watermen’s Bar and Grille. All Watermen’s Retreat properties include bed linens, made beds upon arrival, bathroom towels, drip style coffee maker, coffee filters, salt & pepper, dishwasher soap tabs, dish soap, sponge and kitchen towels.

Our three-bedroom waterfront suites are named after two iconic kiteboarding locations in Cape Hatteras: “Chimi House” and “SDA”.

About the Area

Located in Waves, this condo is on the waterfront. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Rodanthe Pier and Ocean Air Sports are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as jet skiing.

How to find the best Hatteras rental experience:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Hatteras area. To book the largest rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Hatteras restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.

  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
