Chimmi House is a second floor, waterfront 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom suite. Incredible waterfront vistas of all the watersports action and sunsets year-round!

Chimmi House features teak floors, tile bathrooms, carpeted bedrooms and a full modern award-winning kitchen with an s-bend granite drink bar. The living room features waterfront vistas, leather furnishings, a flat screen intelligent TV and cable. Space to entertain includes a dining room table with seating for 6 and bar seating for 4. The waterfront primary bedroom has a private full bathroom, walk-in tile shower and walk-in closet. The second bedroom features a king bed while the third has a queen bed. Each bedroom has a flat screen intelligent TV with cable. The shared full bath has a bathtub shower combo. The living area and primary bedroom provide access to the west facing deck with waterfront vistas. The bedrooms provide access to a water view balcony.

Guests of Watermen's Retreat get kite launching and landing access at REAL Watersports and 10% off at the REAL Watersports Rental Shop.

Additional amenities include Wi-Fi internet access, Tesla & EV charging station, an in-suite washer and dryer, base level secure gear storage, covered parking, an elevator and fast access to REAL Watersports and Watermen's Bar & Grille. All Watermen's Retreat properties include bed linens, made beds upon arrival, bathroom towels, drip style coffee maker, coffee filters, salt & pepper, dishwasher soap tabs, dish soap, sponge and kitchen towels.

Our three-bedroom waterfront suites are named after two iconic kiteboarding locations in Cape Hatteras: Chimmi House and SDA.

When to reserve a Hatteras rental home & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Waves. Booking your Hatteras vacation home in Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection.
