Location, location, location! Nor'Easter sits on three tons on the north side of the Brady Point cul-de-sac, offering privacy, striking vistas, catamaran and kayak access, and the island's best sound-front, non-bulk-headed sailboard - all just two blocks from the beach! This enormous home was constructed with windsurfing in mind, but it is rapidly becoming a favorite with all visitors who savor quality life along Avon's sound-front.

On the first level, you'll find a half-bathroom, a utility room, and a huge locking storage area. On the second level are four cavernous bedrooms, two bathrooms, and shaded decking. The third floor is home to a sizable and comfortable living/dining area, a completely equipped kitchen, a half-bathroom, juniper walls, a wet bar, and a screened porch with a four-to-six-person hot tub. In a class by itself, Nor'Easter is a one-of-a kind opportunity to slow down, kick back, and take in all that Hatteras has to offer.

You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your e-mail. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Please Note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in e-mail and during the check-in process. The club is typically open mid-May to mid-October, depending on weather.

About the Area

Located in Avon, this vacation home is on the waterfront. Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is a notable landmark, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Ocean Air Sports and Avon Fishing Pier are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Cost saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Avon. Booking your Hatteras vacation rental in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Hatteras area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Hatteras visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.

  • Select your dates and spending budget.

  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the host before booking the property.   • Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

During your stay:

  • Get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • During arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
