Outer Banks Beaches and Buxton Woods Coastal Preserve reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it.
