SOUND SIDE – Avon Located on a peaceful sound side street, TROPICANA CABANA, a three-bedroom/two-bath home, is ideally poised for the Hatteras Island vacationer desiring to be near the action. Placed within simple access of shopping, fishing, beaching and more, you’ll appreciate the simplicity of this newly modernized island getaway, and how painless it is for everybody in your family to instantly discover their happy place.

TROPICANA CABANA is ideal for families who can’t imagine visiting without their dogs (up to two allowed) and adore the thought of fishing off the world-famed Avon Fishing Pier which is conveniently close by. If your catch is dinner-worthy, there’s a fish-cleaning station under the home and gas grille to prepare it up for a feast. Pack some games to play with on the cavernous back lawn and plan on spending time calming in the brand new six-person hot tub. The best way to end the day is with a cool rinse-off under the stars in the outdoor shower.

Savor the ease of one-level living, where three bedrooms share the upper level with the home’s open living space. There’s a master queen bedroom with a private bath and two other queen bedrooms that share a full hallway bath. All the bedrooms feature 40-inch Intelligent TVs. The roomy and entirely equipped kitchen, adjoining four-seat dining table and picnic table located on the adjacent deck make feeding the family a breeze. In the evenings, a comfortable living room with wood floors and a 55-inch Intelligent TV provide for entertaining and relaxing moments. The pace of island time means things can wait. What can’t wait? After a day in the sun, relax and recharge with your favorite shows or movies on the 4 brand new Intelligent TVs installed in the great room and every bedroom.

Dogs are welcome for a fee of $200/dog/week.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.

  • In the Hatteras area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses.
