SEMI-OCEANFRONT Avon – Gulls Cry Rd. –
Located in a ideal cul-de-sac, GOOD LATITUDE is sure to bring good vibes to your vacation. From the moment you pull into the carport, you will be in vacation mode. Splash around in the pool or savor the fenced-in pool deck. Don't worry about making a mess inside, use the cabana half bath just off the pool deck. Take advantage of the shaded deck space and picnic table for lunches and snacks. Slip into the bubbly hot tub on the shaded deck. Just inside, challenge the family to a pool tournament. Watch from the sidelines or make drinks at the wet bar with a sink, ice maker, and mini refrigerator. Wait your turn to play in the media alcove. Stream your favorite movie on the huge TV or listen to music on the stereo. The roomy game room has everything you need for family time.

The second level of the home has four bedrooms. Set the kids up in the bunk room with one, twin-over-double, pyramid bunk and one twin-over-twin bunk. There are two king masters for you to choose from. Let the others appreciate the last king bedroom that shares the hall bath with the bunk room. All bedrooms have TVs and access to the outside decks. Ample seating on all decks makes for the ideal calming space.

The final level has a king master with ocean vistas and deck access. Spend the morning watching the sun come over the horizon with a cup of coffee. Cook a sizable meal in the kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Six can sit at the breakfast bar or take it to the 10-seat dining table. Meals will be even more enchanting outside in the screened-in porch. Inside, everybody has a seat in the great room around the enormous TV. Vistas are everywhere on the top floor. Appreciate the ocean breeze out on the deck with plenty of seating. Working from home and remote learning have never been easier than in this home. Use the high speed internet on the island to connect back home. Take the wooden boardwalk over the dunes, just across the street, for the ideal beach day. You’ll know you’re in the good place at GOOD LATITUDE with the good vibes. (fireplace in photos not for guest use)

Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in Avon. Booking your Hatteras vacation home in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
