OCEANFRONT Avon - Ocean Dune Loop - This classic COTTAGE ON THE DUNES, in the roundhouse style, is located at the exclusive south end of Avon, with its own private boardwalk to the beach (shared only with the home next door), and expansive vistas from its striking great room to take in sunrises over the ocean in the East, and colorful sunset skies over the sound in the west. The top floor of the home features a cavernous and comfortable living area looking towards the ocean, opening onto a wrap-around deck, with TV, as well as a separate round table for games and puzzles. The adjacent kitchen and dining area is extremely well appointed, with plenty of cabinets, wide countertop space for preparing meals, seating for six at the kitchen counter, as well as a separate dining room table, looking out towards the sound. Choose from four comfortable bedrooms on the mid-level of the home, including a bright and sunny master bedroom (king) with its own private deck and en-suite bath; a second master bedroom (queen) with en-suite bath, and two bedrooms (queen, 2 single) sharing a common bath. The private hot tub deck is located on this level near the front door. On the ground level is a sizable game room with its own separate entrance, which provides a four-in-one game table (foosball, table tennis, pool and air hockey), enormous screen TV, and convenient wet bar. The full bath on this level features a huge bespoke tiled shower and a sauna. Outside, there are double outside showers, as well as a separate short hose attachment with hot and cold water for rinsing sandy feet and dogs. Come for a stay in this gorgeous COTTAGE ON THE DUNES.

• Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To find the largest rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Hatteras restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast?
