All the amenities of home await when you choose this appealing, three-bedroom hideaway on the east end of Hatteras Island. Savor the salty breeze and sea air from one of three decks, and then head for the beach, just at the end of the street. Inside, you’ll find two levels of comfortable living space. The main floor features coastal decor and an open floor plan, combining the full, well-equipped kitchen, dining area, and living room. The chef will appreciate the full suite of appliances and ample counter space, including a standalone kitchen island, and the high-top table provides plenty of mealtime seating. After a day at the beach or community pool, use the outdoor shower to rinse off the sand, then watch a little TV together or retire to the bedrooms, each of which also has a TV. End the nighttime on the top-floor deck, toasting your good luck at booking such a sweet beach escape.

  • Summer time is high season in Buxton. Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective.
