Confucius says, 'It is the happy Outer Banks vacationer that begins his vacation at Journey's End.' This southern Kinnakeet Shores ocean view location is ideally positioned to provide beautiful ocean and sunset vistas and is very close to the subdivision's ocean access boardwalk. Featuring many new renovations with your comfort in mind, this hideaway features new full baths upgraded for 2024, appliances including a brand-new washer/dryer, new TVs and sound system, new deck railings and ample deck furnishings, new stairs leading to the deck, and a screened porch that used to home the hot tub.

The first level of this reverse floor plan home has four enormous bedrooms, two baths, and a convenient laundry area. A brand-new hot tub deck awaits as well to assist in soaking in bliss each evening. Upstairs the great room with its high ceilings and ample glass has room for all. The kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area, and wet bar are designed and equipped for entertaining. Plus, a new dishwasher, bar refrigerator, new coffee maker and Keurig, and walk-in pantry will assist even more with whipping up tasty meals. A half bath and attached TV/reading room will keep all ages happy. Arrive at your Journey's End.

Things to Know
Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in e-mail and during the check-in process. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on weather.

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Hatteras area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Summer is high season in the Hatteras area. To get the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.

  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to inspire new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
