Welcome to Dune Swell! THIS is island living, just steps from the ocean! Unwind at the heart of the island. Buxton is centrally located between all of the best spots to kiteboard, wind surf, fish, beach access, surf, paddleboard, walk, hike, and bicycle.

Convenient, family sized living all on 1 floor, literally a 60 second walk to Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Prefer kite sailing? We are less than a 2 min. drive to Canadian Hole. How about Surfing? We are walking distance. Fishing? We are mins. from some of the World’s most impressive fishing at the Point.

Our bungalow is only a min.’s walk to Buxton's iconic Beach District where you will find numerous superb eateries, Hatteras Lighthouse & National Park, fishing & tackle stores, eclectic local stores, convenience stores, ice cream & mini-golf.

The area is safe, peaceful, and is amazing for those looking for a getaway, with the fun and adventure Cape Hatteras offers only steps away!

Located in Buxton, this apartment is by the sea. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Buxton Woods Coastal Preserve, while Studio 12 and Kinnakeet Clay Works are cultural highlights. Uncle Eddy's Frozen Custard and 18-Hole Mini Golf and Buxton Seafood are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
