SEMI-SOUNDFRONT Salvo - Sand Dollar Ct. - The enchanting SLAINTE (pronounced slawn-cha), which is a Gaelic word for Cheers or Good Health, has rather a few attractions to offer. Outdoor enticements include a private pool, cabana half bath next to the outdoor shower, hot tub and basketball goal. The sound vistas from this home are spectacular, and SLAINTE is all decked out with opportunities for taking advantage of the scenery! The ground level has a queen master bedroom, a bedroom with two pyramid bunk beds, a full bath, and a game room with wet bar and pool table. The mid-level features four queen master bedrooms with vistas from the wraparound decks. The top floor is the main gathering place, where you'll find ample dining space, a sizable kitchen and a great room with elegant vistas. A roomy king master bedroom with double vanity and deck access completes this level. (Fireplace seen in photos is not available for guest use.)

Located on the beach, this vacation home is in Wind Over Waves, a neighborhood in Salvo. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Rodanthe Pier and Ocean Air Sports are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • In the Hatteras area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • To find the best value, try shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
