OCEANVIEW Salvo - Merrimac Ln. - If you've been looking for your own private island escape, then look no further than SALVO VERA. This delightfully decorated modren getaway, a short walk from the ocean, is just what you've been looking for. The first level features a game room with pool table, TV, stereo/CD and a refrigerator. There's also a queen bedroom and a 6 person hot tub on the deck off the game room. The second level has two bedrooms that share a bath, plus a king master suite that opens onto a deck with a table and chairs. The top level's cavernous great room features cathedral ceilings and entertainment center. To the chef's delight, there's a enormous tiled kitchen with breakfast bar. The great room opens to roomy decking and a screened porch with picnic table. Up on top, an observation deck offers Atlantic vistas as well as sunset vistas.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.

When to visit & When to reserve a Hatteras rental home:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the largest rental for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Hatteras restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection.
