NEW for the 2025 season, all carpeting has been replaced with new LVP throughout, and the second-level deck boards and railings have all been renewed.

Offering 3,400 square feet and an oceanfront location, Off Duty is a place to relax and relax. Located on a peaceful cul-de-sac, Off Duty is just a few steps from the water's edge. The ground level has good parking, a carport, covered entry, and access to the oceanfront pool with decking and furnishings. The first-level game room has a pool table, a leather-furnished media corner with a TV, stereo, wet bar, full refrigerator, laundry nook, half bath, and deck access to the private hot tub and pool. On the second level, out of two oceanfront bedrooms, one is a main bedroom with a TV, deck access, and bath with tub/shower.

The furnished den has oceanfront deck access, TV, and WiFi. Bedroom two has two singles, a TV, and is close to a full hall bath with a tub/shower combo. Bedroom three is an oceanfront main bed with deck access, a TV, and a bathroom with a shower. Bedroom four has a double, bunk beds, and a TV. The humongous upstairs great room is a classic with tall ceilings, a gas fireplace, an additional-huge TV, a stereo, and a half bath.

Resort furnishings make for comfortable living. The cavernous deck includes deck furnishings, a picnic table, and handsome ocean vistas. The sizable kitchen has an island, stainless appliances, and ample dining with vistas of the ocean and Avon pier. The main bedroom five has deck access, a TV, and a full bath with a tub/shower combo. This is the place to book your next vacation and savor the spot that makes Off Duty so beautiful and unique.

Things to Know
All new appliances for 2024 include a Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher, and range.
The new and expanded pool deck area accepts for more room for sunbathing at the pool!
Streaming services are available with guests' own accounts.
Guests will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your e-mail. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.
Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details about this facility will be shared in your check-in e-mail and during the check-in process. The club is typically open from mid-May to mid-October, depending on the weather.
The fireplace is available from October to April.

When to visit & When to book:

  • In the Hatteras area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Hatteras area. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Hatteras vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance.
