These new furnishings warm up the room, creating the ideal ambience for watching the waves roll in from this spectacular vantage point.

Come vacation in 'heaven' this year! Pelican Paradise is a handsome four-level home in an ideal Kinnakeet Shores location with painless beach access, a great view, and within walking distance to the Avon Pier, stores, and eateries. You'll catch some pretty vistas of the ocean and sound from the sizable, furnished sundeck.

The gourmet kitchen and enormous dining room table will be a great place to appreciate some delicious seafood and trade fun stories about your day. Four of the six bedrooms are cavernous main suites, one with a single/double pyramid bunk, and all bedrooms provide comfortable resting places when you need to recharge your batteries.

When you're ready for more fun, play a game on the foosball table or watch a show on one of eight TVs. Savor six DVD players (one Blu-ray player) for some thrilling entertainment. This home is complete with a huge concrete sundeck, poolside furnishings, and a six-foot-high privacy fence. Splash around in the 13' x 31' private pool or take a relaxing dip in the six-person hot tub.

• Summer months are high season in the Hatteras area. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
• Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
• Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection.
