Stephanie Kiker Designs

Stephanie Kiker is a Hatteras Island artist whose work bridges multiple worlds. She is a graphic artist as well as a painter. She creates realistic images of wildlife, but she also has cultivated a unique design style featuring bold shapes and colors that she refers to as aboriginal.

Kiker is wild over the environment and whether working in the bold, graphic way or softer realism she paints turtles, pelicans, herons and other sea creatures seen here at the coast. The images wind up on a wide variety of gift items making her work both decorative and practical.

Imagine sea turtles on mouse pads, coasters, cutting boards and trivets or herons on ceramic tiles, coin purses, switch plates and sun catchers. Her images are featured on cards as well as a number of different sized prints. Wall art also is printed on metal.

She coined the word FUNctional regarding her work. Think happy, colorful and coastal, and you have an idea of what to expect. She works out of her private studio, but you can locate her art in Manteo at the Mellow Dog Gallery and at the Pea Island Art Gallery in Salvo and Indian Town Gallery in Frisco to name just a few locations. Kiker also does a dozen art shows and festivals annually from Corolla to Ocracoke. Don’t miss the Outer Banks icon! Her work is available year round.

Kiker is known for the establishment of the Fine Art & Craft Gallery Guide of the Outer Banks, which features artists from Corolla to Ocracoke. The guides are widely distributed throughout the Outer Banks and very helpful when planning gallery tours. Don't miss picking up one!
