If you’re ready to discover fishing in Hatteras, look no further than Bonehead II. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Scotty can tell you all about them.
Black Drum, King Mackerel, Flounder, Cobia, Bluefish, Little Tunny, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, and more can be found in these waters if you come at the right time of year. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
Your fishing machine for the day is a 34’ Rose Brothers Downeast vessel that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 20% to show your appreciation.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be bottled water on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
How often would you rather be fishing? Go on and turn that daydream into a reality, with Bonehead II.
