The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean vistas from every property. All condos have private oceanfront decks, as well as sound side decks for viewing colorful sunsets. Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages - no need to haul bags and groceries up long flights of stairs. Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway. The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast. At Durant Station, you'll appreciate a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Island's biggest private pools with an adjacent hot tub.

The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for calming with friends, conducting meetings, wedding events, and receptions, or simply appreciating the lounge areas, which offer a 50-inch flatscreen TV, a pool table, a gas fireplace, and a complete kitchen on the upper level. Centrally located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Hatteras area. To find the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
• In the Hatteras area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
