This second-floor corner unit is charmingly decorated and has a huge wrap-around sundeck, charming vistas, and access to a variety of community amenities. Located close to fishing marinas, eateries, galleries, and stores and featuring three comfortable bedrooms, two full baths, a generously equipped kitchen, a private washer and dryer, and Satellite HDTV with DVR, Shores Fine Again is sure to make your vacation memorable. This home includes central AC, cable TV with HBO, high-speed WiFi for your devices, and solid surface counters in the kitchen.

The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean vistas from every property. All condos have private oceanfront decks, as well as sound side decks for viewing colorful sunsets. Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages - no need to haul bags and groceries up long flights of stairs. Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway. The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast. At Durant Station, you'll appreciate a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Island's biggest private pools with an adjacent hot tub.

The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for calming with friends, conducting meetings, wedding events, and receptions, or simply appreciating the lounge areas, which offer a 50-inch flatscreen TV, a pool table, a gas fireplace, and a complete kitchen on the upper level. Centrally located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). A sizable separate fish cleaning station, shared grilles and outdoor shower facilities complete the picture. The Durant Station Condominiums are located in Hatteras Village, oceanfront on Highway 12. This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.

Located in Hatteras, this condo is on the beach. Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood. Traveling with kids? Consider Uncle Eddy's Frozen Custard and 18-Hole Mini Golf and Surf's Up. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Finding your best deal:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Hatteras area. To find the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Hatteras area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.

  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective.
